Privacy

What happens to the small amount of data this site handles.

Who is responsible

The controller is brandenart, reachable at editors@brandenart.com.

What the form collects, and why

The contact form takes a name, an email address, a chosen subject and a message. Nothing else is requested.

We use those details for one purpose: to read your message and answer it. The basis is your consent, given by the checkbox, and our legitimate interest in replying to correspondence about our own published work.

Correspondence is kept while the matter is open and for a short period afterwards, so that a correction can be traced back to its source. It is then deleted.

Logs, and what we do not do

The hosting provider records ordinary access data such as an IP address, a timestamp and a requested page, for security and error tracing. These logs are short-lived and are not combined with form data.

There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising pixel and no third-party cookie on this site. Nothing is written to your browser storage. The single script on the page opens and closes the sections menu, and it does nothing else.

Processors and transfers

The hosting provider and the mail provider process data on our instructions, under written terms.

Where a provider operates outside the European Economic Area, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

Your rights

You may ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and you may withdraw consent at any time. Write to the address above.

You may complain to the supervisory authority for data protection where you live or work.
